I hear it so often...
“I want to make my art, but I don’t know what to make.”
“I’m just so busy.”
“There isn’t enough time with all the other things I have to do.”
While it’s true that you might lead a very busy life, and there may be very some real constraints to juggle, I can promise you that the real reason you’re not making your art is NOT because of external factors alone.
It never is.
I always say that, “Art making is an inside job,” because the real show stoppers have nothing to do with technique or time. The real show stoppers are the internal blocks and beliefs that thwart even the best of intentions.
Sometimes despite your best intentions, despite all of the planning and wanting, the goals you’ve set, the desires you have, you’re STILL not making your art.
What the hell, right?
Sometimes it feels like there is a force a thousand times bigger than us or older than this lifetime alone stopping us. (The truth is that sometimes there is!)
These deeper issues are real and they need to be worked through.
I've put together a 3 Part Video Series to take a look at the 3 most common reasons why an artist gets stuck, AND 3 internal steps that you can start taking to Stop Getting Stuck and Start Gaining Some Serious Traction.
